"Frankston Blogs is about negotiating a specific public space through a temporary online discourse. What does social media and the internet mean for people in Frankston? What does the space of the Internet mean for the everyday citizen in relation to their local context?" - A. Gibson

comrade's log:
It is the last day of the Frankston Blogs experiment. Along with a handful of other local bloggers, I've contributed to a discussion of what makes Frankston ticks. Many personal experiences of living and working in Frankston have been recounted and aspects of Frankston's varied demographics and landscapes have been explored. Histories have been revealed, photos and music posted; opinions aired.
I've had fun. I've played. I've learnt. I've said too much.
We've all shared.
Thanks to Alex Gibson and the project supporters for the opportunity. Alex, do we get a public review?
Merry Xmas and a happy new year to all.
Art in Frankston streets and lanes
Hard to believe that six weeks blogging (on and, more often, off) and I've not asked what my fellow bloggers thank of the public art in Frankston. Especially as this project is part of the White Street Project.
Have you noticed any art works around your neck of the woods or in the CAD? If so, what do you like or not like, or even loathe?
If you haven't noticed any at all, I am seriously worried, but I'd still like to know that too.
